The most obvious signs that your siding needs to be repaired are usually visible and can be identified by performing a walk around inspection of your home. The signs of damage can be determined by the type of siding used, often times old wood siding will show signs of rot from moisture getting through the paint. Moisture can get under the paint, if not painted correctly, and can cause rot from not having a way for the moisture to escape – one indication of too much moisture in wood siding is bubbles in the paint.

Vinyl siding can show physical signs of damage too, the easy identifiers would be cracks or holes in the siding which can be caused by years of weather or debris hitting your home.

Holes and cracks provide an opportunity to for moisture to get behind the siding, which can cause further problems down the road if not addressed correctly. Additional signs like bulging or warped panels could be signs that there is damage behind your siding that will need to be repaired.

White Knight Contracting replaced eave trough and repaired soffit. They did a great job on the eave trough including coming up with a couple of solutions for capturing water unique to our house and area. They also fixed a chronic soffit issue, where other companies were unsuccessful and wind continued to damage or tear away the soffit.
